Pete Munson

      Pete lives in Negaunee with his wife Sara (a teacher), their son Connor and twin daughters, Lydia and Makayla. Pete loves spending time outdoors with family and friends at their camp on the Dead River Basin. He also enjoys golfing. Pete and Sara look forward to sharing their many hobbies and traveling with their children as they get older.

      Pete is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He has been a financial representative for over 23 years, providing comprehensive, financial and investment planning services to his clients. He began his career as a Financial Advisor in 2000 with Edward Jones in Marquette, Michigan. He then joined Wells Fargo Investments (a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors) in 2006, to take a team approach in providing personalized financial advice for individuals and families. Pete earned the CFP® certification in 2009 and continues to fulfill annual continuing education requirements to remain current on trends and planning techniques within the industry. In 2022, Pete formally announced his decision to form his own company, Munson Retirement Solutions (MRS), so he can focus on deepening his relationships and focus on helping people feel more confident in understanding what their money is going to be able to do for them. 

      Pete currently holds FINRA Series 7, 6, 63 and 65 registrations. He also has Life/Health and Variable Insurance Licenses in Michigan.

      Beth LaJoie

      Beth LaJoie

          Beth LaJoie and her husband Chris, who works for Michigan Veteran Homes, also live in Negaunee.  Along with their four children (Bryce, Logan, Layla, and Elyse), they enjoy spending their time traveling, tinkering at their camp on Little Perch Lake and the kids' many extracurricular activities. Beth also enjoys gardening and painting. Beth is a graduate of Northern Michigan University and has been working in the financial world for over ten years, coming to Munson Retirement Solutions from Honor Credit Union. For seven years prior to working at the credit union, she was employed by Bell Hospital as an admitting clerk for both the clinic and at the hospital.  These positions have allowed Beth to build relationships with many of our community members.  

          Beth is a Notary Public, offering this service for our clients. As MRS's Office Manager, Beth will be able to take care of any of your service-related requests. Beth will be your contact person should you have any questions about scheduling, your account, or for Pete.
